Silver for Bouic at world kettlebell champs

Galway's Didier Boiuc took silver in his weight division at the World Kettlebell Championships held for the first time in Ireland.
Boiuc was one of several athletes from Galway Kettlebell Club to compete for Ireland at the championships which attracted 550 athletes from 35 countries. Ireland are now ranked fourth in the world after the championships - a big jump from ninth in 2014.

A new rugby referees course to be held in the Sportsground on Saturday November 28 will introduce the new Community Referee scheme.
Unlike regular recruits who referee matches at all levels across the province, Community Referees will be used for youth rugby in their locality. Ideal candidates should be reasonably fit, have a good understanding of the game and be available to referee at weekends. The new course will be open to those who would like to become a Community Referee and those hoping to follow the full refereeing pathway.
