From Delran, New Jersey, Shane Doherty has made a significant contribution since joining Galway United in 2019. Doherty talks about his career in the League of Ireland.
TOMMY SHIELDS
Long time supporter Tommy Shields was one of the 100 supporters to be allowed attend a Galway United fixture for the first time in 2021.
OLLIE NEARY
Ex Galway United midfielder Ollie Neary remains a hugely respected footballing figure in the west of Ireland. Neary has carried out very impressive coaching work with Mervue United underage teams in recent years.
GORDON BRETT
Athlone native Gordon Brett enjoyed a successful stint with Galway United as a player. Brett is now a coach with Athlone's U14s and is also a video analyst with Adrian Carberry's first team.
ENDA CURRAN
Enda Curran remains a passionate follower of junior football in the west. The former Galway United striker reflects on the recent return of local football.
WILLIAM GRANT
A proud West United man, William Grant continues to serve the junior game with admirable enthusiasm. Grant currently coaches the West first team, alongside several other roles with the club.
MARTIN DEVLIN
Martin Devlin presently manages Galway Hibernians and the Galway United U17s. Devlin has helped to develop many promising players in the west.
