Visitors to Galway City Centre now have a new, convenient parking option — and a chance to support local youth sport in the process. The Bish Rowing Club has launched a fundraising initiative by managing the car park at St. Joseph’s “The Bish” Secondary School. Open daily from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the car park provides centrally located parking for those attending the Galway International Arts Festival, the Galway Races, or simply enjoying a day of shopping, dining, or sightseeing.
All proceeds from the car park go directly to the Bish Rowing Club Boat Fund, which aims to replace the club’s ageing fleet of boats. As a school-based club with no external funding, the Bish Rowing Club relies entirely on the generosity of the community through initiatives like this to continue supporting young rowers.
