Galway to have its own X factor for classical quartets

Classical quartets and musicians across Ireland will have the chance to take part in open auditions to become the 2010 Galway Apprentice Ensemble in Residence.

The ConTempo Quartet, Galway’s Ensemble in Residence, is launching the all-Ireland search. The eventual winners will receive dedicated tuition time with ConTempo, be provided with practice space and resources to further their instrumental proficiency, and opportunities for concert performance.
