Santa and Mrs Claus, along with the elves will be making the County Galway medieval castle their home in preparation for Christmas. Bookings have now opened, and a proportion of all admissions will go to Galway Simon Community.

Hallowe’en family coffee morning

Get your Hallowe’en outfit ready because on Saturday a family coffee morning is being held in the Carlton Shearwater Hotel, Ballinasloe from 10am to 1pm. The coffee morning, now in its second year, is run by the Stargazer Lily Foundation in aid of Galway Hospice, Portiuncula Patient Comfort fund, and Cancer Research Ireland. The foundation is run by local people from the community of Ballinasloe and is fully sponsored by the Carlton Shearwater, Kraft, and Kelly print works.The foundation has raised over €25,000 for the above charities and with your help can do much more. The morning promises not only coffee but a range of activities for children, from best dressed costume to a Hallowe’en colouring competition.
