A major fundraising concert and event will take place in Monroe’s Live tomorrow night to raise funds for the presidential campaign of Michael D Higgins.

The night will be hosted by actor, playwright, and entertainer Little John Nee. Woman dragged into bushes in early morning assault

Gardaí have launched a hunt for a man who assaulted a woman and dragged her into bushes at Dun Na Coiribe last week.

The woman was walking home alone in the early hours of Thursday September 8 when she was grabbed by a man and pulled into nearby bushes. Two men who were nearby heard the woman’s screams and came to her aid, and her attacker fled.
