The Salmon Weir Bridge is likely to become a ‘double bridge’ in the near future with one bridge to deal with buses and pedestrians and the other with cars and vans.
The plan to put a new bridge adjacent to the Salmon Weir was unveiled at Monday’s city council meeting with a presentation to councillors entitled Corrib River Crossing Feasibility Study.

Her father was delighted. Political life had been good to him. Most especially so considering he had failed in everything else he had tried his hand at. He knew that it paid people disproportionately to their abilities. Where else could an absolute oaf get such a salary and associated benefits? To be elected would secure his daughter’s future and that of all belonging to her. Oh yes, becoming a politician was a very good idea indeed. After all, it’s not as if you need any qualifications or ability.

David Hickey (35) with an address at 1D Pearse House, Pearse Street, Dublin 2, was brought in custody before Galway District Court on Monday.
