Comic books and a charity single from The Saw Doctors

The Saw Doctors have re-recorded their classic ode to first love, ‘Red Cortina’, and will be releasing it on iTunes tomorrow as a charity single for the St Vincent de Paul.
‘Red Cortina’ first appeared on the band’s 1992 debut album If This Is Rock’n’Roll I Want My Old Job Back, but it has been re-recorded as an a cappella version for this charity single. Smyths Toys has also come on board the fundraising drive and will be donating €1 to the St Vincent de Paul for every download of ‘Red Cortina’ between tomorrow and Friday December 10.

However, he was convicted and fined a total of €800 this week for the serious obstruction of a garda and being intoxicated and for being extremely abusive.
