Twelve hundred patients and families availed of cancer support centre services last year

The Cancer Care West facility, which is based at 72 Seamus Quirke Road (opposite Westside Shopping Centre), is open on a drop-in and appointment basis to people with cancer and their families from all over the west.

Further remand for men charged with gang drug dealing offences

Two men charged with allegedly dealing drugs with the intention of enhancing the ability of a criminal organisation have been further remanded on continuing bail for the service of a book of evidence.

Inspector Mick Coppinger told the Galway District Court on Monday that the Director of Public Prosecutions has directed trial by indictment in the case against the two accused men.
