New cinema mooted for Ballinasloe

Plans are under way to develop a four-screen cinema as part of a new commercial development in Ballinasloe town.

Paddy Delaney has submitted a pre-validation planning application to the Galway County Council seeking permission for the cinema, which would seat approximately 600 people, along with four retail units, two office units, ESB substation, roads, car parking, signage, and associated works at a site in Dunlo townland. The development would also require the demolition of an agricultural shed on the site.
