The Dail Bar in the heart of the Latin Quarter is showing its support for some of the best of the west. Not only is it continuing its sponsorship and support of Connacht Rugby with the sponsorship of Brett Wilkinson for the third year in a row, they are also flying the flag for Galway hurling as a business sponsor in a bid to show support to our home grown talent, urging the city to show our support for the fantastic talent we have in Galway and Connacht.

It is “inexcusable” that the Government has failed still to fill the key post of Director of the National Office for Suicide Prevention, according to a Galway East TD.
Fianna Fáil’s Dep Michael Kitt also criticised funding for suicide prevention as “disgracefully low” at a time when suicide has been on the increase. Dep Kitt quoted a statistic which has seen a 140 per cent surge in suicides in the State among males over the past 30 years.

The loan fund has been designed to provide financial aid to businesses and sole traders who employ up to 10 people and have been refused bank loans of up to €25,000.
