A Ballybane man who drove uninsured while more than three times over the blood alcohol limit and crashing his car causing injury to other road users has received a total of 14 months in jail and disqaulified from driving for five years.

Last October father-of-one Keith Connolly was involved in a road traffic accident. Sadly, the injuries Ballinderreen native Mr Connolly received resulted in the amputation of his legs. He has since begun his treatment in the National Rehabilitation Centre in Dún Laoighaire, Co Dublin, and he is making excellent progress.
