Bille na Gaeltachta achtaithe

Thu, Jul 26, 2012

Achtaíodh Bille na Gaeltachta Déardaoin seo caite i ndiaidh don fhreasúra siúl amach as an Dáil, i bhfianaise nach raibh sé i gceist ag an Aire Gaeltachta Dinny McGinley, glacadh le haon cheann de bhreis agus 150 leasú a bhí molta acu ar an mbille. Seo an chéad uair le fada an lá nach raibh aontacht sa Dáil ar cheist na Gaeilge, ach theip ar Fhine Gael agus páirtí an Lucht Oibre an aontacht sin a bhaint amach toisc gur dhiúltaigh siad glacadh le hoiread is leasú amháin don Bhille.

Mar thoradh ar seo tá bille achtaithe atá thar a bheith lochtach agus bille nach gcabhróidh le buanú na Gaeilge sa Ghaeltacht. Drochlá don Ghaeltacht agus don Ghaeilge ab ea Déardaoin an 19 Iúil.
