Galway 2020 calls on business community to pledge support

As Galway moves closer to the final bid submission, the dream of securing the title of Galway 2020 European Capital of Culture is very much alive and tangible. The outstanding success of the bid so far has been ignited by the passion, solidarity and generosity of the people and businesses of Galway city and county across all community sectors. The opportunities and possibilities for businesses to get behind the exciting Galway 2020 bid are endless and the support of the business community of Galway is integral as the final stage of the bid is fast approaching.

On Tuesday next June 7, at 6.30pm in the Radisson Blu Hotel and Spa, Galway, the Galway 2020 team will host an business engagement forum for businesses of Galway to discover the exceptional opportunities involved in pledging support to the most exciting bid Galway has ever seen. Choosing to get behind the Galway 2020 bid not only enables Galway to move towards the goal of securing the coveted title of 2020 European Capital of Culture but also to raise the funds essential to ignite the vision of hosting an exclusive year long programme of events, and bring a vibrant and more creative Galway to life. The European Capital of Culture Programme has become a key platform for Galway city and county’s positioning and a catalyst for economic and cultural regeneration.
