Claregalway GAA Club are hosting a night of Strictly Come Dancing as a club fundraiser for the coming year in The Claregalway Hotel on Friday January 29 2016 at 7.30pm. This event promises to be a night of high quality entertainment and craic with 34 dancers dusting off their dancing shoes for a night on the floor.

The dancers have been hard at work over the last number of months, under the watchful eyes of instructors Sean and Patricia Casey, learning and perfecting their routines which will be laid bare for the audience later this month.

Claregalway GAA club is a vital part of the local community fielding numerous adult teams and catering to over 450 children. The club serves the communities of Claregalway, Carnmore, Turloughmore and Castlegar. The cost of running any club is exceptionally high, so fundraising events such as this, are key to the club’s continued growth.

“In 2010 the club commenced an ambitious development programme to provide improved facilities for our growing community and membership. This has progressed at great pace and we now have two full size pitches, with a third recently constructed as well as our Community, Sports and Social Centre on our 22-acre purchased site. Without grant aid, local sponsorship and generous contributions from our members this development would not have reached it present status” says John Morrin club chairperson.

The club would like to thank main sponsors Monaghans Skoda & McCartney Contractors, the Claregalway Hotel along with dancing round sponsors Electric Skyline, St Jarlaths Credit Union and Zurich Life Assurance for their support of this event.

There is still time for sponsors to come on board and for people to purchase a page/half page advertisement in the Strictly Claregalway brochure.
