The pioneer of Ireland’s regional all day property auctions for non-stressed properties, O’Donnellan & Joyce, is shortlisted as a finalist in the prestigious 2015 Irish Independent Property Industry Excellence Awards in the category of Residential Agency of the year.
The awards programme is designed to independently recognise the highest standards of professionalism and excellence across the entire property sector. The competition for these awards is extremely high and the nominees show a strong mix of industry players. O’Donnellan & Joyce has been selected from more than 70 entrants nationally following a rigorous adjudication by a high profile national judging panel chaired by Professor Brian Norton, president of Dublin Institute of Technology.
Established in 1982 in Galway by leading auctioneers Colm O’Donnellan and Tony Joyce, O’Donnellan & Joyce is renowned for building a likeminded team of highly motivated property agents and auctioneers who deliver a high quality and professional property service. Boasting an in depth knowledge of Galway and the west of Ireland’s property market, the auction property division has grown extensively alongside the private treaty sales division since January 2014 when O’Donnellan & Joyce was the first regional auctioneer to hold all-day property auctions outside Dublin. Such has been the success of this innovation, the company will hold its 13th all-day auction on Friday November 13.
Since its foundation, O’Donnellan & Joyce has built a loyal client base in Galway, the west of Ireland, and in more recent years nationally. Recognised for the service and support it offers to its clients, both new and existing, through the team's expert knowledge, balanced view, and realistic approach to evaluations, the demand for its auction service has grown steadily from Donegal to Kerry all along the Wild Atlantic Way.
The advancement of technology and in particular live streaming of the all day auctions has led to a growing international client base, in particular the Irish emigrant market. O’Donnellan & Joyce, Galway’s complete property service, has now marked its 12th such auction in 19 months, and has generated a staggering €77 million in auction property sales since 2014. The team are always on hand to provide current market trends, assessments and property evaluations to both vendors and purchasers. The increased profile and national media recognition of O’Donnellan & Joyce has positioned the auctioneer as a national and regional commentator in the property sector, such is the company’s success for its clients.
The Irish Independent Property Industry Excellence Awards provide an opportunity for the Irish property industry and its stakeholders to showcase their expertise and standards globally. The awards programme has been established as a partnership among all property industry stakeholders and endorsed by all professional bodies and representative groups including KPMG, Pinergy, and Eugene F Collins. Ten categories are judged, including Commercial Agency of the Year, Property Entrepreneur of the Year, and Residential Agency of the Year.
Speaking of the prestigious nomination, Colm O’Donnellan of O’Donnellan & Joyce said: “We are so honoured and grateful to have been selected as finalists. The Irish Independent Property Industry Excellence Awards recognise outstanding merit across the sector and we feel that this nomination contributes massively to the growing confidence in O’Donnellan & Joyce’s auction divisions department and our private treaty sales department in the west of Ireland’s property market. I am delighted that O’Donnellan & Joyce have received this nomination as it is a recognition of the great team spirit that operates throughout our company.”
