Galway WFC new season has been boosted with new sponsorship from the Lough Rea Hotel & Spa.

The three-year deal will see the hotel name as main shirt sponsors on the front and back of the clubs jerseys.

In addition to the Lough Rea Hotel & Spa as main sponsors,  Papa Johns Pizza will become platinum partners of the club.

Galway WFC chairperson Stephen Moran says the resources and support Lough Rea Hotel is putting behind its sponsorship will ensure that the club will grow and thrive for the coming years.

"The hotel name will adorn our jerseys and leisurewear and it will be our duty to ensure our performances live up to the high standards maintained by the hotel.  We also welcome on board a global brand Papa John's Pizza whose name will appear on our jersey and shorts.”

Hotel owner Pat McDonagh says: "We proud to be able to sponsor Galway WFC and support women in sport.  We look forward to having the Galway team as regular visitors to the hotel along with other teams from across the country. We wish the team the very best of luck in the season ahead.”

Galway WFC’s first game of the season will be in the FAI Continental Tyres Women’s Senior Cup away to Dublin side St Catherine’s on Sunday August 30 followed by their first home game the following weekend against Shelbourne, which merged with Raheny United over the summer.
