Giant snowglobe attracting thousands into Eyre Square Centre

Eyre Square Shopping Centre is enjoying a busy festive period and Centre Manager Avril Smith predicts a strong shopping season ahead with thousands flowing through the doors of the centre in search of tremendous choice and bargains.

“We are seeing a very strong start to the season which is very positive news,” she said, adding that there is great interest in the giant 10ft snowglobe which will also be in the centre until the end of the year.

Santa will be also welcoming boys and girls to his grotto from every day until December 23.

The Eyre Square Shopping Centre are running weekly prize draws on their facebook pages with lots of prizes being given away all compliments of the shops in the Eyre Square Centre.

Eyre Square Centre kicked off the festive period in style with a variety of choral events in aid of the Saving Grace cause.

This was followed by an appearance by Galway Community Circus, Ireland’s first dedicated youth circus. They are a charitable organisation built on fun, innovation, and a commitment to inspiring and empowering people through circus arts. Santa arrived to an awaiting crowd on a fire engine, compliments of Galway Fire Station.

The Kidisco created a dance party where both children and adults got together and danced.

Not only did the children dance their heart out to DJ Will Softly’s disco mix, children also learned dance routines with *Gigi* and other professional dancers. The centre was bursting with excited children who enjoyed the free activities in the centre which included a Christmas choir, jugglers, still walkers, kidisco with dj, face painting and hot chocolate and cookies. Snowie the 10ft snow bear was also walking around the centre giving out free hugs.

For everything you need this Christmas, the Eyre Square Centre has it.
