The Connacht Property Auction will take place on November 14 in the Clayton Hotel, Galway, offering a large variety of properties all across Connacht. There will be a selection of properties offered from around the province including newly completed apartments in Knock starting at €19,000, a fine detached residence in Tuam with starting bids at €85,000, and a six bed dormer in Athenry with starting bids at a very realistic €149,000.

Carrowmore Drive, Knock: Three apartments will be offered in this private development, consisting of eight apartments in total. The apartments are newly finished to a high standard and with starting bids at €19,000 for the one bed and €29,000 for the two bed, significant interest is expected. The apartments will be first offered individually and then as one lot, with the highest bidder securing the properties. The properties are offered in partnership with John Higgins auctioneers, Ballyhaunis.

Lot 12, Park Road, Athenry, is a splendid property offered at bids over €149,000. This property is new to the market and has already attracted good interest from a range of buyers. The property is a six bedroom detached dormer property which boasts two large garages, one of which includes a pit, ideal for a motor enthusiast. Park Road is a stone’s throw from Athenry town centre and just a few minutes’ walk to Athenry Train Station. Athenry is a popular area for families due to the short commute time to Galway city and this home offers a lot of property for this price.

Lot 18, Manor Village, Castlebar, offered in partnership with DNG Burke Connolly Maloney, is well located and in very good condition. Manor Village is a popular and well established estate and the property benefits from three bedrooms with two en suites, sitting room, kitchen/dining room, large family bathroom, and downstairs wc. The property is above and beyond what most estate houses offer and would make an excellent family home or indeed investment. The starting bids of €75,000 makes this property very appealing to buyers.

Lot 22, No 14 Church View, Tuam, is offered at bids over €85,000. Offered in partnership with Michael Ryder auctioneers, Tuam, this detached two storey property boasts four bedrooms and ample off street parking and would make an ideal home or investment property. The property was recently renovated and is in move-in condition. The house is located only a short walk to the Tuam town centre and a half an hour drive to Galway city. The rental market in Tuam is strong at present with little or no void periods for well located, good quality, accommodation such as this. No 14 offers the buyer the opportunity to buy a property in an excellent location at a very realistic price.

These properties are being offered through the modern method of auction which is more flexible than tradition auction, meaning even purchasers buying with a mortgage can secure a property through auction. “Traditionally auction was mainly suited to cash buyers, meaning only certain types of buyers could purchase through auction,” said Patrick Folan from the Connacht Property Auction. “Our auction is more flexible, however, making it accessible to all purchasers including those buying with a mortgage.”

The public auction will take place on November 14 in the Clayton Hotel, Ballybrit, Galway, at 7pm. Registration begins at 6.30pm. All properties can be viewed on the auction website www.tcpa.ie To arrange a viewing or speak to an experienced auction advisor call 091 882 121.
