Cara Pharmacy is delighted to announce the upcoming opening of their Galway store, ideally located in the heart of the city, in the premises formerly occupied by HMV.
The Cara Pharmacy Group continues to go from strength to strength; the opening of Cara Galway, will bring the total number of stores to 15 which comprises of 13 pharmacies and two Cara Home and Lifestyle stores — this is the group’s first store in County Galway.
Commenting on the expansion, company director, Canice Nicholas “This is yet a step further in our strategy to become a national brand and will create a further 35 jobs throughout the group including distribution, retail and pharmaceutical. This will bring the total employment within the group of a total of 150 employees”.

Dragons Den Entrepreneur, Ramona featured in RTE’s Secret Millionaire and helped Galway based charities and families, knows the City extremely well. Ramona added, “Galway has always been a city very close to our hearts, we have been visiting the city since the late 90s annually, and of course I have amazing memories from my experiences there filming The Secret Millionaire just a year ago.
