Remove graffiti on Fisheries Tower now demands McNelis

Graffiti that was sprayed on the Fisheries Tower must be removed immediately Labour city councillor Niall McNelis has demanded.

Niall McNelis has called graffiti “a nuisance” in the city and is calling on the gardaí to take steps against it.

“There are huge costs involved by private property owners, businesses, and the city council in cleaning up these tags of vandalism,” he said. “Not only is it dirty looking, but it is a waste of precious time and resources to struggling businesses and the city council.”

Cllr McNelis also said that the Galway City Tidy Towns needs volunteers this Saturday and Sunday to remove graffiti at a number of areas across the city. Those interested in helping are asked to meet at 11am at Claddagh and Celtic jewellery story, Quay Street.
