City clean-up on Sunday

The Galway Tidy Towns will hold another of its regular city clean ups this Sunday at 11am.

Volunteers for the clean-up, involving painting work, weeding, and litter picking, are being asked to attend, by gathering outside Claddagh & Celtic Jewellery, Quay Lane.

Democrats Abroad Galway meeting

Democrats Abroad Ireland will hold its next meeting in Galway on Tuesday April 16 at 7pm in Monroe’s Tavern and is open to all west of Ireland based Americans.

Larry Donnelly, legal counsel to Democrats Abroad Ireland and a law lecturer at NUI Galway said: “Although we have historically been a Dublin-based group, there are Americans all across Ireland especially in the west of Ireland and Galway. We are delighted a group of local Democrats have organised this monthly gathering of Americans.”

A Night for Ned

Galway United Supporterso Trust is hosting ‘A Night for Ned” fundraising concert for the family of a Galway United supporter, Ned Keogh, who passed away in 2012.
