Galway to hold National Day of Commemoration

The National Day of Commemoration - Galway Ceremony, to honour Irishmen and Irishwomen who died in past wars or on service with the UN, takes place this weekend.

The ceremony will be held this year on Sunday July 8 at 11am at The Quadrangle in NUI, Galway.

In attendance will be the Mayor of Galway Terry O’Flaherty; public representatives; members of the Defence Forces; religious leaders; community representatives; ex-servicemen’s organisations; and next-of-kin of those who died in past wars.
