SINN FÉIN has established a new cumann in Athenry recently with local man Gabe Cronnelly elected as cumann cathaoirleach.
The meeting establishing the cumann was held in Dan’s Bar, Athenry where an officer board was selected and membership registration accepted. Sinn Fein is hoping to develop the party in the Loughrea/Athenry electoral district and to further that aim Mr Cronnelly has put his name forward to contest the 2014 Local Elections.
