Galway sales outsource firm defies recession with sixty five job expansion

A Galway-based sales outsource firm has been defying the recession with plans in place to expand and more than double its size over the next three months resulting in the creation of 65 new positions nationwide.

Sales Sense International, Ireland’s fastest growing sales outsourcing firm, was established in Galway in 2006 and within a year it had expanded to Dublin. The company which specialises in business-to-business (B2B ), event and residential sales, is seeking talented, dynamic individuals, including experienced sales managers, to take field-based jobs throughout the country as it continues to expand and build on its reputation for delivering. The expansion which will take place over the next three months involves 25 B2B, residential and event personnel for the Munster area, mostly based in Cork; 20 new jobs to be created in the Galway area in the areas of B2B and residential sales as well as administrative positions; 14 B2B and residential positions for Mayo, Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Cavan, Monaghan, and Louth; and six new management positions.

Gerard Teahon, founder and managing director of SalesSense, explained: “All people hired will be employees of SalesSense and not contract positions. Full training and support will be provided and our intention is to continue this growth pattern into 2012. We are looking for individuals with experience across B2B but we will also look at people looking to move into a sales careeer that may not have that experience. There is massive potential for the right people to progress career-wise.”

SalesSense has partnered with Vodafone, Phonewatch, and Bord Gais Electricity and hopes to be launching into the UK market this time next year. Mr Teahon said that SalesSense has the winning formula with proven structures and processes that ensured success for both staff and clients from a results perspective.

“The secret of our success stems from our knowledge and experience within the sales environment. Our management team have grown up in this environment and there is an understanding throughout the company of what is required to deliver for our clients.”

“The reason this expansion is taking place is to capitalise on the success we’re having. The other key factor for this is that we treat people right. Rather than contract staff, we actually employ people. They are part of the success.”

All interested parties are encouraged to attend the open day which is due to be held at the Salthill Hotel, Galway, on Wednesday September 14 from 12 noon to 6pm.
