Next Monday week Ballybrit will reverberate to the sound of hooves as the annual summer festival of racing at Galway starts again.
Tens of thousands of people are expected to attend the race meetings with fantastic prizes on offer all week.
There are race card competitions with some fantastic relaxing hotel breaks. There is even a chance to be a winner at the Summer festival, even if your horse loses. The Tote Losing Ticket Draws will take place each day for luxurious breaks away in some of Ireland’s top hotels. And there are also prizes for the most fashionable of you all.
In conjunction with the Galway Race Committee, the Galway Advertiser, Ireland’s highest circulation regional newspaper, is delighted to give you all a chance to win a pair of tickets to a day’s racing at Ballybrit.
This year, in a seperate competition, we are also catering for our fans on Facebook.
To enter online for this separate competition, just become a friend of the Galway Advertiser on Facebook and tell us in 60 words or less why you deserve a pair of tickets to go racing in Galway. Here we will also have a pair of tickets to give away for each day’s racing.
To enter using snail-mail and to be in with a chance to win a pair of tickets, just pop the answer to the following question, to Races Competition, Galway Advertiser, Eyre Square, Galway. Make sure you write your contact telephone number so that we can arrange to get the tickets to the winners as soon as possible. The closing date for both competitions is Thursday July 22
