Major funds allocated to Tuam school

Funds totalling more than €250,000 have been allocated to St Patrick’s Primary School, on the Dublin Road in Tuam, in order to build an extension.

The grant will allow for the provision of two permanent classes, breakout room with multi-sensory, kitchen, and toilets.

The news has been welcomed by Fianna Fáil Galway TD Noel Treacy. “I am delighted the Government was in a position to allocate this significant funding at this time,” he said. “I know this news will be welcomed very much by the school’s board of management.”

Dep Treacy also welcomed the funding for an additional classroom for Ballindereen National School, Kilcolgan. The funding, which will provide for a classroom measuring 1 x 80m2.
