Christians unite across Ireland to celebrate light, hope and faith

On Saturday, 31 October 2026, Christians from across Ireland will gather in Dublin, Cork and Galway for National Praise Day, a growing movement calling believers to reclaim Halloween night as a celebration of Jesus Christ, the Light of the World.

Established in 2019, National Praise Day was born from a compelling vision: to redeem 31 October from its association with darkness and fear, transforming it into a national celebration of praise, prayer, hope and God’s goodness.

At its heart is the conviction that praise is a powerful spiritual declaration—an expression of faith, gratitude and victory that shifts attention from darkness to the transforming light of Christ.

Equally significant is the call for Christian unity. National Praise Day brings together churches, denominations, cultures and generations, setting aside differences to worship with one voice and pray for Ireland.

This year’s celebrations mark an exciting expansion, with simultaneous gatherings at the National Basketball Arena, Tallaght, Dublin; Christ Apostolic Church, Midleton, Cork; and the Connacht Hotel, Galway, beginning at 5pm.

Featuring vibrant choirs, worship teams and united prayer, the free, family-friendly events offer an uplifting alternative to traditional Halloween celebrations.

More than a concert, National Praise Day represents a growing movement of Christian unity, public witness and spiritual renewal across Ireland.

Celebrate Light. Celebrate Jesus. Unite Ireland in Praise.
