Salthill Devon take on Letterkenny Rovers in Donegal this Saturday as the race to finish top of Group 2 heats up.
This was supposed to be the final group game, but after last weekend's fixture postponements in the FAI National League, Salthill Devon will now face St Francis on November 7.
Greg Cunningham's side are currently tied at the top with St Francis on 11 points. The three group winners and the best-placed runner-up qualify for the semi-finals next month.
Before that crunch decider against St Francis, Salthill need to take care of business against Letterkenny this Saturday. In the reverse meeting between these two sides, Salthill cruised to a 4-1 opening day win at NFP Park.
Winger Ben McDonnell put in a man-of-the-match display with a goal and two assists. Timmy Molloy levelled the tie from the spot before Cole Connolly made it 2-1 with a fine poacher's effort before McDonnell took the tie out of Letterkenny Rover's grasp to put his side 3-1 to the good. Joshua Keane Quinlivan put some gloss on the game making it 4-1 in added time.
Salthill will be desperate for a repeat of that performance in August. Victory this Saturday could prove priceless in their quest to finish top of the group and qualify for the semi-finals.
Kick-off is 4pm in Leckview Park this Saturday.
