Sherry FitzGerald has officially opened its new office in Oranmore, further strengthening its presence in Galway and enhancing its ability to serve vendors, purchasers, landlords and tenants across the region.
The office, formerly Yvonne Sweeney Auctioneers & Valuers Ltd, is now operating as Sherry FitzGerald Oranmore, with Shane May appointed as sales manager.
Commenting on the opening, Tony Kavanagh, regional director, Sherry FitzGerald Galway, said: “We are delighted to open our new Oranmore office and to appoint Shane as sales manager. The new office represents a natural expansion of Sherry FitzGerald’s Galway network, building on its established presence in the city and surrounding areas. It will provide clients with access to a broader network, market insights and dedicated local expertise. Oranmore continues to attract strong interest due to its proximity to Galway city and its appeal as a well-connected residential location.
Sherry FitzGerald Galway has served the Galway property market since 1998 and offers a comprehensive range of services, including specialist lettings and property management support for landlords.
A Galway native, Shane May joined Sherry FitzGerald in 2023, having worked in the property industry since 2017. He holds a Higher Certificate in Real Estate from Technological University Dublin and brings strong local knowledge and experience supporting buyers and sellers across the Galway market.

Yvonne Sweeney, who established her business in 2009, built a strong reputation in Oranmore and the surrounding areas over many years. The Oranmore office is now open and is the local point of contact for property-related enquiries. Existing tenancy arrangements remain unchanged, with the team continuing to provide a seamless service to clients.
