Solution Explorer is an AI-powered tool that gives a user the modules and workflows that address their compliance challenges, replacing the work of reading a product catalogue. It is the newest addition to 80-plus modules spanning equipment inspection, risk assessment, incident reporting, contractor management, and audit preparation.

“We always aim to be at the cutting edge of compliance,” said Roseanne Carroll, director of software engineering at FlexManager. “Solution Explorer takes the guesswork out of it. Rather than asking people to work out which parts of the platform fit their problem, we let them describe the problem and do the matching for them.”

Fifteen years of replacing paperwork

Founded and headquartered in Galway, FlexManager supports over 100 organisations across Ireland, the UK, Canada, and mainland Europe, in construction, ports and maritime, healthcare, fire and rescue, manufacturing, oil and gas, and facilities management. Its clients include Irish emergency services and city councils alongside international manufacturers and infrastructure operators.

The platform gives organisations one system for the evidence trail behind standards such as ISO 45001, ISO 14001, and ISO 9001, with native iOS and Android apps that allow field teams to record inspections offline and sync to the desktop system when they return to coverage.

“FlexManager is a highly effective platform that we use every day at Offaly Fire Service,” said Leonard Kennedy, assistant chief fire officer at Offaly Fire Service. “It helps us streamline our compliance activities, maintain comprehensive digital records of our documents, and provides easy access to information whether we are in the station or out in the field. We also rely on FlexManager for asset management, including the scheduling and recording of equipment inspections, maintenance, and servicing, ensuring our assets remain operational and compliant at all times,” he added.

Speaking on FlexManager’s 15-year anniversary, CEO George Curley said: “Fifteen years ago, most of this work was done on paper, and the people doing it deserved better. We set out to build the standard that the industry would follow, not to keep pace with it. Every module in the platform exists because a safety manager somewhere told us what was not working.”

On the international circuit, FlexManager regularly exhibits at health and safety, occupational safety, and compliance conferences. This year, they exhibited at Interschutz in Germany, the world’s leading trade fair for fire and rescue services, civil protection, and safety, and at EuroSafety 2026, the largest professional trade fair for occupational safety and well-being in the Nordic region.

FlexManager has big plans for 2027, including Predictive Analytics to help prevent incidents in the workplace, more exhibits at conferences, and aspirations to expand its international presence, and the team are excited for what is coming.
