Strong winds have been forecast for Galway later today, with a Yellow weather warning due to come into force in the county from 3pm.
Met Éireann has warned of very strong and gusty southeasterly winds across the county until 9pm tonight.
Potential impacts include difficult travelling conditions, fallen trees and branches, and movements of loose objects and debris.
Several weather warnings are in place across the country today, with a Yellow warning for wind in effect across Clare, Cork, Kerry, Limerick and Waterford from 9.45am.
A Yellow rain warning is due to come into effect in Cork, Kerry and Waterford from lunchtime, lasting until 9pm.
A Small Craft warning is also in place along the entire coastline throughout today.
