Skoda has confirmed the details for its new electric seven-seater model, the Peaq, which is set to arrive in Ireland this November.
Priced from €58,150 and rising to €63,050, the Peaq will be available with two battery capacities, 63kWh and 91kWh, and will have a claimed range of up to 637km. Three powertrain variants will be available, with outputs ranging from 150kW to 220kW and a choice of rear-wheel and all-wheel drive.
For even greater driving comfort, the Peaq supports one-pedal driving and facilitates bidirectional charging, allowing energy stored in the battery to be used outside the vehicle.
The Peaq is the first Skoda model to offer a panoramic roof, while flush door handles also make an appearance for the first time. The interior is said to offer a spacious, lounge-like design for up to seven people. In the seven-seat configuration, it combines generous cabin space with 890-litres of luggage capacity, reduced to 299-litres of capacity when the third-row seating is erected. A 37-litre frunk provides additional storage.
The main control centre of the Peaq is the latest infotainment system, built on the Android platform and equipped with a vertically mounted 13.6-inch display, the first of its kind in a Skoda model.
Also making its debut is a 16-speaker Sonos sound experience. The 25W wireless charging for two phones has also been enhanced with illumination and integrated magnets. The Peaq comes with a comprehensive suite of assistance systems. Ten airbags, including a centre airbag and rear side airbags, are standard. The Sportline variant will be available from launch and is defined by glossy black exterior accents and lettering. It is the only version offering optional two-tone paintwork with a black roof.
The Skoda Peaq will arrive in dealer showrooms from November, with first customer deliveries scheduled from next January. Skoda Ireland advises to order early.
