When MathWorks chose Galway for its EMEA Shared Sales and Services Centre in 2016, the ability to attract Europe’s multilingual talent was a key reason.
Under the leadership of that initial group of skilled professionals, the office has evolved into a workplace where people from all over Europe bring their experience to support customers throughout the region.
Over the past 10 years, the MathWorks Galway office’s responsibilities expanded alongside the business, and staff now support eight offices, eight distributors, and direct sales extending into the Middle East and Africa. The office’s growth created new roles in sales, consulting services, channel development, finance, and business administration.
What began as a small Shared Sales and Services Centre grew into an important hub for MathWorks EMEA operations. Yet, despite its broader influence, the Galway team remains closely connected to the community.
Local MathWorkers support local charities, community groups, and STEM programs, such as the Galway Science & Technology Festival and Junior Achievement Ireland. Those efforts define a culture that extends beyond the workplace.
