Moneycube.ie is calling on Galway companies to take up its offer of a free workplace consultation aimed at helping employers engage their staff on retirement planning.

The pensions experts are encouraging people to take a more active role in planning for their retirement by understanding the income they are likely to need in retirement and the steps they can take today to strengthen their future financial position.

The Moneycube.ie team will be in Galway city today September 17 to deliver presentations and offer one-to-one guidance to companies and their teams on how best to prepare for retirement.

Firms wishing to take part in the roadshow can contact Moneycube.ie to organise a suitable date and time. The offer is available to companies of any size.

The company is moving to raise awareness of retirement planning, and to help people take charge of their long-term savings, with the launch Pensions Awareness Week 2026 (PAW26 ), which runs from September 21-25.

This year’s event asks people to ‘Know Your Number’, which is the size of the pension pot they should target to generate the annual income needed to support the retirement lifestyle they want. They are being urged to compare this figure with what they are currently on track to achieve and understand the steps needed to bridge any gap.

As part of PAW26, Moneycube.ie will be visiting companies around Ireland throughout September, delivering a series of workplace consultations aimed at helping employers engage with their employees to plan and save for retirement in a bid to reduce financial anxiety and help employers have better insights into when their employees are considering leaving the workforce.

The roadshow will begin ahead of PAW26, with the first stop in Galway city on September 17 and Limerick on September 18, followed by Cork on September 21, Dublin on September 23, and Kilkenny and Laois on September 24.

Speaking ahead of the event, Feargal McKenna, Co-Founder and Head of Corporate at Moneycube.ie, said the ‘Know Your Number’ theme was selected after his team encountered a growing number of workers who are planning to retire early having not calculated whether their current pension savings can support their ambitions.

Feargal McKenna says: “At Moneycube.ie, we’re meeting a growing number of people who aspire to retire early but don’t yet know how their current pension savings translate into future retirement income. For some, the lifestyle expectation in retirement is unrealistic. However, the encouraging thing is that once people understand their numbers, they take actions to improve their chances of reaching their goals.

“That’s why the theme of Pensions Awareness Week 2026 is ‘Know Your Number’. We want to get people thinking about their pension pots – where they are today and where they’d like to be – and help them to take action to maintain their long-term financial security. Through our nationwide PAW26 roadshow, we’ll be helping workers understand their retirement position, explore their options and see how even small changes today can make a meaningful difference over time.

“We’re looking forward to our events in Galway on September 17, followed by Limerick, Cork, Kilkenny, Mullingar and Dublin during Pensions Awareness Week and we would encourage companies that want to improve engagement with their employees on the topic of retirement planning and financial wellbeing to contact Moneycube to arrange a suitable date and time.”
