A man arrested on a charge of altering his passport as part of a financial transaction had his case adjourned when it came before Judge Fiona Lydon at Galway District Court.
James Flood, Parkroe, Corrandulla, is charged with producing a false instrument, an allegedly illegally altered passport, when dealing with Revolut Bank.
Flood was arrested on August 9 last at Garda Regional Headquarters, Renmore and made no reply when charged.
The court heard that an employee at Revolut alerted Gardaí to alleged alterations to the passport.
The case was adjourned until the November 16 sitting of the court, when the defendant will either enter a guilty plea or be given a date for a hearing.
