Cllr John McDonagh has welcomed confirmation that two new bus shelters are planned for Shantalla over the coming months, at McDara Road and Scoil Bhríde.
“I’m delighted to see two new shelters coming to Shantalla. This is an area with a significant older population, and proper shelter for people waiting for public transport is badly needed,” he told the Advertiser.
“I’ve been raising the need for additional bus shelters in Shantalla for some time, so I’m very pleased to see these locations included.
“These shelters will make a practical difference for local residents, particularly during the winter months.
“I want to acknowledge and thank the officials in Galway City Council’s Transportation section for progressing these new shelters. They will be a very welcome addition to Shantalla,” concluded Cllr McDonagh.
