Coral and Council announce major investment in two Galway gyms

Coral Leisure Tuam and Coral Leisure Ballinasloe in conjunction with Galway County Council have announced details of the upcoming refitting of both their gyms.

This exciting venture sees in excess of €500,000 euro of investment across two of the most used facilities owned by Galway County Council and managed by Coral Leisure.

This investment is a huge show of confidence in the future of both leisure centres in Tuam and Ballinasloe and is future proofing the facilities for further growth in the coming years.

This co-investment by Galway County Council has been praised by Coral Leisure Operations Director, David Moore “as very forward thinking and we look forward to working even more closely with Galway County Council for many years to continue to develop and grow both Coral Tuam and Coral Ballinasloe. This is not just an investment in the facilities, but an investment in the people of both communities, which Coral Leisure is proud to be a central part of.”

Michael Owens, Director of Services with Galway County Council said the significant investment by Galway County Council together with Coral Leisure, in Tuam and Ballinasloe Leisure Centres, is an investment in people, communities and a healthier future for generations to come.

“The upgraded facilities will empower individuals and families to make positive choices every day. Galway County Councils’ investment reflects a bold vision for the future, recognising that strong communities are built on healthy, active and connected citizens.

“By providing more modern spaces that encourage participation, inclusion and lifelong wellness, Galway County Council is helping to create thriving towns where people can live well, age well and flourish together.

Now is the time to embrace the opportunities these facilities will offer. Whether you are taking the first step on your fitness journey, looking to improve your wellbeing, reconnect with your community or support your family’s health, we encourage everyone to get involved and make the most of these upgraded amenities.

Galway County Council further look forward to working in continued partnership with Coral Leisure Management Limited on both Leisure Centres over the years ahead.”
