Opel will expand its electric performance range with the new Corsa GSE.

Landing in Ireland later this year, the Opel Corsa GSE is powered by a 54kWh lithium-ion battery producing 207kW (281hp ) and 345Nm of torque. Opel quotes a 0 to 100km/h sprint time of 5.5 seconds.

The Corsa GSE has front-wheel drive with Torsen-multi-plate limited-slip differential and a lowered sports chassis with specifically designed axles, stabilisers and hydraulic shock absorbers.

Four-piston performance brakes are equipped to ensure immediate deceleration from high speeds. The new Corsa GSE displays its hot hatch credentials with 18-inch rims, Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 215/40 R18 tyres, Alcon brake callipers with visible GSE lettering, and a GSE-specific front apron.

Opel says the black roof and the black rear spoiler reinforce the overall effect.
