BYD dealer for Galway, Cunningham Autopoint, has enhanced its customer service offering with the rollout of new technology aimed at motorists who choose to buy remotely.

Niall Cunningham, managing director at Cunningham Autopoint said this new offering enables the business to "protect our personal approach while reducing administrative friction for staff an customers".

The move to 'iStoreDocs' will digitise the dealership’s document management processes across sales, enabling customers to upload identification documents, review paperwork, and complete key compliance steps online, whether they are in the showroom or buying from home.

"We have always focused on making the buying process straightforward and hassle-free," added Cunningham. "As more customers start their journey online, iStoreDocs gives our team better control over the paperwork and allows customers to complete documents remotely in a secure and structured way. It improves efficiency behind the scenes and gives buyers added convenience and confidence."

Like many retailers, BYD Galway has seen a steady increase in customers initiating enquiries and progressing deals remotely. While this has opened up new opportunities, Cunningham notes that it has also increased the importance of clear documentation, robust audit trails and well-managed compliance processes.

"We have been in the motor trade for decades, and our reputation matters.

"This is about combining traditional customer service with the right technology to support modern buying habits. If we can make life easier for our team and our customers at the same time, that is a win," Cunningham said.
