Bish oarsmen star at Irish National Rowing Championships

From July 10 to July 12, 42 Bish oarsmen delivered outstanding performances at the Irish National Rowing Championships at the National Rowing Centre in Farran, Co. Cork.

It was the largest boys' representation of J16 and J18 oarsmen at this year's championships. Yet another testament to the strength and continued growth of the Bish rowing programme.

The Bish brought three medals home over the three-day regatta. The J16+ Eight were crowned national champions as they secured the Irish Championship title. The J16+ Four earned a national bronze medal, while the J18+ Eight also secured bronze as they earned themselves an excellent third-place finish in a fiercely competitive field.

These young athletes competed with exceptional determination, commitment, and sportsmanship throughout the weekend and produced performances which the entire school community can be immensely proud of.

The school extends its sincere thanks to its outstanding coaches, team managers, and club logistics crew, whose tireless work behind the scenes ensured every athlete was supported throughout the championships. Their commitment and professionalism played a vital role in making a memorable weekend possible.
