Gardaí have appealed for witnesses following the death of a man in an e-scooter accident in Knocknacarra last weekend.
The man, who was in his 40s, was injured in the single-vehicle accident on Friday evening, July 10.
The incident occurred at around 8.30pm on the R336 outside the former Spinnaker House Hotel.
The e-scooter rider was removed from the scene for treatment of serious injuries at University Hospital Galway. He has since been pronounced dead.
A technical examination of the scene was carried out by forensic collision investigators.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to come forward.
Road users who were travelling on the R336 near the former Spinnaker House Hotel (past Blackrock ) between 8.15pm and 9.00pm on Friday, July 10 and who may have camera footage (including dash-cam ), are asked to make this footage available to Gardaí.
