Visitors looking for inspiration this summer are invited to explore Earth Action, a new climate-focused exhibition at Galway City Museum. Created by Melanie Lynch, Director of OurStory, and featuring the work of Galway artists Róisín Coyle and Eugene McKeown, the exhibition shines a light on the positive steps communities can take to address climate challenges.
Bringing together local stories, community initiatives and practical ideas for change, Earth Action demonstrates how actions taken here in Galway can contribute to solutions for global environmental issues. Through engaging displays and creative interpretation, visitors are encouraged to reflect on their own role in building a more sustainable future.
The exhibition also forms a fitting addition to the Climate Inspirations Festival, taking place from 24–28 June. Festival-goers are encouraged to include Galway City Museum on their itinerary and take the opportunity to experience Earth Action alongside the museum’s diverse range of free exhibitions exploring Galway’s archaeology, history and sea science.
Galway City Museum is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10am to 5pm and Sunday from 12pm to 5pm. Admission is free.
