Chanelle Pharma earns Silver Investors' in Diversity accreditation

Galway-based pharmaceutical company Chanelle Pharma has been awarded the Silver Investors in Diversity accreditation by the Irish Centre for Diversity, recognising the organisation's advanced maturity in embedding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI ) practices across its entire operations in both Ireland and the UK.

The accreditation, valid for up to two years, is one of the most respected EDI standards available to businesses on the island of Ireland, and achieving Silver status marks a significant milestone in Chanelle Pharma's ongoing commitment to building a truly inclusive workplace.

Aoife McNena, director of people and culture at Chanelle Pharma, said the achievement reflects the entire organisation's collective effort. "This accreditation confirms that at Chanelle Pharma, inclusion isn't just something we talk about; it's how we do business. It wasn't achieved by a single department or a small group; it was earned through the daily actions of every person across our sites."

The recognition comes on the back of strong internal sentiment around shared responsibility for workplace culture. A recent employee survey revealed overwhelming agreement across the company that Diversity and Inclusion is a shared responsibility; a finding that underlines just how deeply these values have taken root at every level of the organisation.

Founded in Loughrea, Chanelle Pharma is one of Ireland's leading pharmaceutical companies, with a growing international footprint. The company has long championed a values-led approach to business, built around three core principles: Acting with Respect, Owning It, and Winning Together. The Investors in Diversity Silver accreditation is a direct expression of each of those values in practice.

The Irish Centre for Diversity awards the accreditation to organisations that can demonstrate a genuine, measurable commitment to EDI - not simply as a policy on paper, but as a lived experience for employees at every level.

For Chanelle Pharma, this Silver award represents more than a badge of honour. It is a public statement that inclusion is woven into the fabric of how the company operates - and a foundation on which it intends to keep building.
