Community Hub hosts cookery demo and games night in Ballybane

Residents in Ballybane are being invited to take part in two upcoming community events at the local community hub, offering opportunities to learn new skills and enjoy a relaxed social atmosphere.

A cookery demonstration will take place on Thursday, March 30, at 7pm. Chef Maria McNeela will lead the session, showing attendees how to prepare a creamy seafood chowder and a traditional fish pie. The event will include tastings, along with tea and coffee, and is designed as an informal evening where participants can pick up practical culinary tips.

Organisers say the demonstration is open to everyone and aims to bring the community together through food and shared learning. Parking is available adjacent to Ballybane Library.

In addition, a board games evening is scheduled for Wednesday, April 6, starting at 6.30pm at the same venue (H91 TW27 ). The event promises a relaxed and enjoyable setting, with tea, coffee, and light refreshments provided. A house raffle will also take place on the night, featuring a selection of prizes.

Both events are open to all members of the public. For further information, attendees can contact Donal on 087 199 4360.
