Isuzu has introduced a new 2.2-litre turbo diesel D-Max pick-up.
This new 2.2-litre D-Max will replace the current 1.9-litre version. It will now come as standard and is partnered by a new eight-speed automatic transmission as well as six-speed manual option.
Delivering a maximum 400Nm of torque, the Isuzu D-Max 2.2 ensures on-road driving and towing performance as well as off-road capabilities. The D-Max outputs 163PS at maximum 3,600rpm from its new turbo-charged four-cylinder engine, with electronically controlled fuel injection pump with intercooler and double overhead camshaft.
A shift-on-the-fly four-wheel drive system allows switching between high gear two- and four-wheel drive at speeds of up to 100km/h. A low-gear four-wheel drive mode, coupled with rear differential lock and Rough Terrain Mode is standard across the range.
Internal changes to the new Isuzu D-Max 2.2 model include new seat designs, with enhanced cloth and leather trims. High-grade textured cloth is offered as standard on the DL20 version, and leather is standard on DL40 and V-Cross variants
