Nick Furey and James Mcloughlin of Mellows Pitch and Putt were victorious at Rathfeigh Pitch and Putt in County Meath last Sunday.

The two-man team represented Galway in the Leinster Scotch Foursomes non-mixed event. They won by a clear five shots, shooting -17 through 36 holes.

Furey and Mcloughlin triumphed over some of Ireland's finest pitch and putt players, including the team that included Tadgh Harrington - Pádraig Harrington's brother.

"We are very proud of our two gladiators," says Frank Naughton, Chairman of Mellows Pitch and Putt.

"It sends such a positive message to the rest of our members that winning on the big stage is possible, onwards and upwards."

Mellows Pitch and Putt is located near Renmore Army Barracks, only a 10-minute drive from Galway city centre. The club is always open to new members.
