Aoibheann Costello has been named the SSE Airtricity League of Ireland Women's Premier Division Player of the Month for March.
Galway United's vice captain has been pivotal in her side's flawless start to their Premier Division campaign. Costello bagged a goal and an assist in the Tribeswomen's recent 2-1 league victory over Wexford at Eamonn Deacy Park on March 28.
United currently sit top-of-the-table with three wins out of their first three games. Phil Thrill's side face Treaty United away from home this weekend as they look to continue the momentum built from their winning start.
Costello was named ahead of Athlone Town's Dana Scheriff and Becky Watkins of Shelbourne for the accolade. It is the first time she has been nominated for the award.
