Cupra lifts lid on its smallest car

Cupra has unveiled the brand's smallest car yet, the Raval.

Scheduled to arrive in Ireland this September, pricing is expected to start from around €26,000. The new Raval measures just four metres in length and is based on Volkswagen Group's MEB+ platform.

The Cupra Raval will be available in a choice of four powertrains and two battery sizes - 85kW 116hp (37kWh battery ); 99kW 135hp (37kWh battery ); 155kW 211hp (52kWh battery ); and VZ 161kW 226hp (52kWh battery ). Cupra claims a range of up to 450km from the larger battery, and tells us there is a boot capacity of 441-litres.

Standard features will include a 12.9-inch infotainment system, 10.25-inch digital cockpit, wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, keyless go, rear park distance control, high beam control, flush door handles, black roof cloth, and 17-inch alloys.

VZ models will additionally feature a wireless phone charger, rear camera, vehicle-to-load, 19-inch alloys, and heated front seats and steering wheel.
