Hand in Hand appoints Mark Dwyer as Chief Executive Officer

Hand in Hand has announced the appointment of Mark Dwyer as Chief Executive Officer. Mark joined Hand in Hand in 2023 as Director of Services and has since played a pivotal role in strengthening the organisation’s support for families affected by childhood cancer. He brings a wealth of experience in delivering compassionate, family-centred services, alongside a deep understanding of the challenges faced by those navigating a childhood cancer diagnosis.

Mark’s leadership, passion, and commitment to making a meaningful difference position him strongly to guide Hand in Hand into its next phase of growth and impact.

Commenting on his appointment, Mark Dwyer said he is honoured to take on the role of CEO at Hand in Hand, an organisation that plays such a vital role in supporting families during some of the most difficult times in their lives.

“Having worked closely with these families, I’ve seen first-hand the impact of our services. I look forward to building on this strong foundation, working with our dedicated team and partners to expand our reach and ensure that no family faces childhood cancer alone.”

As Hand in Hand celebrates its 20th anniversary, the organisation remains firmly committed to providing vital practical and emotional support to families across Ireland. Under Mark’s leadership, there are ambitious plans to expand reach, enhance services, and further strengthen support for children and families affected by childhood cancer nationwide.
